UD will play host to the best college hockey teams in the nation with the American Collegiate Hockey Association's 1999 National Championships, scheduled from Tuesday, March 2, through Saturday, March 6, at the UD ice arenas. This marks the first time in tournament history that the championship has been held on the East Coast.
The tournament is held in a round-robin format for the first three days.
The Fightin' Blue Hens will be on the ice at 7 p.m., March 3, against fourth-ranked Ohio University; at 7 p.m., March 4, against first-ranked Iowa State; and at 7 p.m., March 5, against the winner of one of Thursday's games.
On Saturday, March 6, a consolation final will be held at 4 p.m., with the championship final scheduled at 7 p.m.
A tournament pass is $30 for adults and $22 for youth and guarantees seating for five days. Daily tickets range from $6-$10 for adults and $4-$8 for youth.
