The first annual Housing Fair will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Multipurpose Room C, Trabant University Center. Information about housing options and the housing sign-up process will be provided at several booths. There also will computer assistance for students wishing to fill out their 1999-2000 on-campus housing applications and housing preferences on the web.
Representatives from housing, residential and conference facilities, residence life, the Resident Student Association, Wilmington Savings Fund Society, Bob Carpenter Center and University Bookstore will be available to answer questions.
Food will be provided by Dining Services, and door prizes will be given away during the event.
The event is sponsored by Housing Assignment Services and coincides with the on-campus housing sign-up process for the 1999-2000 academic year, which begins Feb. 22 and continues through March 19.
All matriculated students who submit their housing applications by March 19 are guaranteed a room assignment for the 1999-2000 academic year.

Women artists to display works
An exhibition of paintings and mixed media by women artists will be on view in Clayton Hall from Feb. 25 through March 26. The exhibition focuses on each artist's vision of the world around her, encompassing social issues, the environment and personal life experiences.A wide variety of styles and media will be represented, demonstrating the diversity of the visual arts in Delaware and beyond.
This exhibit is an annual event, held in conjunction with the Delaware Women's Conference, scheduled this year on Saturday, March 6.
An artists' reception is scheduled for Thursday, March 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Clayton Hall. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.
Clayton Hall is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Reservations are now being accepted for five bus trips that will be offered during the spring semester by University Travel Services. Interested persons can sign up in Room 217 of the Trabant University Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily, until noon of the day before each trip.All trips require a UD ID. Guests are permitted. Costs include roundtrip bus fare.
A ski trip to Jack Frost/Big Boulder is being offered on Saturday, Feb. 20. Three ski packages, ranging from $35 to $50, are available. Buses will leave the Trabant University Center at 8 a.m. and leave the ski area for the trip home at 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday, March 6, a trip is planned to New York City. Cost is $20 for full-time undergraduates and $25 for faculty, staff and others. Buses will leave the Trabant Center at 8 a.m. and depart from New York for the return trip at 8 p.m. Some discount theatre coupons for some New York shows will be available. Those interested should make inquiries when they purchase a seat for the trip.
Washington, D.C., is the destination of a trip planned for Saturday, March 20, with a special focus on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Buses depart from the Trabant Center at 9 a.m. and leave Washington for the return trip at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 for full-time undergraduates and $20 for faculty, staff and others.
On Saturday, April 24, a trip is planned to White Marsh Mall and Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Cost is $15 for full-time undergraduates and $20 for faculty, staff and others. Buses will leave the Trabant Center at 9 a.m., arrive at White Marsh Mall at approximately 10 a.m. and depart from the mall at 1:30 p.m. Arrival time at the Inner Harbor is scheduled for approximately 2 p.m., with buses leaving for the trip home at 9 p.m.
A second trip to New York City is scheduled on Saturday, May 8. Cost is $20 for full-time undergraduates and $25 for faculty, staff and others. Buses will leave the Trabant Center at 9 a.m. and leave New York for the return trip at 11 p.m.

Celebrate the New Year of the Rabbit
The Chinese Student and Scholar Association will have a Chinese New Year Party, beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, in the Multipurpose Room of the Trabant University Center.The cost for the buffet dinner is $10 ($5 for children from 3-12) in advance. Tickets purchased at the door will be $12.
Celebrating the Year of the Rabbit, this year's program will start with speakers and a buffet dinner, followed by some traditional Chinese performances at 8 p.m., including the Lion Dance and traditional Chinese music.
The event will conclude with a Chinese film, karaoke and ballroom dance. Interpretation will be provided.
