Series to assist professionals in advancing career development

UD professional staff members can sign up now for the advanced career development program to be held this spring.

The five-part series of workshops is designed for professionals who want to increase their knowledge of the University, enhance skills in their current positions and think strategically about their future aspirations.

University administrators will be guest speakers at each of the sessions.

The series will be led by Liane Sorenson, women's affairs.

The Professional Staff Development Series will include the following training modules:

• "Introduction, Organizational Structure and Culture of the University," March 22;

• "Ways To Develop Careers at UD: Case Studies," April 12;

• "Developing Knowledge About the UD Budget Making Process," April 26;

• "Making the UD Classification Series Work for You, and Documenting Your Career," May 3; and

• "Communication and Leadership, and Developing Your Long Range Career Plan," May 17.
