By any standard, Bill Cosby is one of the most popular and beloved stars in America today. His concert appearances, recordings, television shows, feature films and even commercials have endeared him to the American public.

Cosby points out the humor in our lives, and, in so doing, touches our hearts. With humor based on insights about the roles that parents and children and men and women play, Cosby is the best-selling recorded comedian of all time.

Originally a stand-up comedian, Cosby helped break racial barriers in television when he co-starred with Robert Culp in the series I Spy. During the series, Cosby earned three Emmy awards for best actor. Other television hits credits include The Bill Cosby Show, the variety show Cos and the hit comedy series The Cosby Show.

He has filmed numerous television specials for children, starred in NBC-TV's Children's Theatre and PBS-TV's The Electric Company.

Cosby received his bachelor's degree from Temple University and a master's degree and a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts.
