JSTOR digitally scans journals

JSTOR is a full text database available through Library Networked Databases to users either directly from the Library, the campus network or from home via connection to the University of Delaware web. From home, use University of Delaware PPP connection and Netscape or, if using a non-UD Internet service provider, access the Web Proxy Server (see <http://www.udel.edu/help/> for instructions).

JSTOR provides access to the digitized backfiles of more than 40 scholarly journals in ecology, economics, education, finance, history, mathematics, philosophy, political science, population studies, sociology and Asian studies. Titles are continually added to JSTOR. Electronic access to these 40 titles begins with volume 1, number 1, some going back to the 19th century.

Keyword, author and title search capabilities combine the ease of database searching with the rich archive of scholarly publications available in JSTOR. Every word in the full text of every journal article can be searched.

Find JSTOR on the University of Delaware Library Networked Databases web page listed under "Full Text Databases." Articles and graphic images in JSTOR may be viewed in portable document format (.pdf), which requires installation of Adobe Acrobat software. Adobe Acrobat may be downloaded at no charge from <http://www.lib.udel.edu/adobe/>.
