UD library group elects new officers

The University of Delaware Library Associates recently elected new officers for 1999.

John B. Tepe Jr. of Greenville, corporate counsel of the DuPont Co., will serve as president; Wilson J.C. Braun Jr. of Wilmington, president of J.P. Morgan Trust Co. of Delaware, will serve as senior vice president; Jean B. Blythe of Wilmington, who works in private investments, will serve as vice president; Michael Olin Clark of Chadds Ford, Pa., vice president of Scudder, Stevens & Clark, will serve as treasurer; J.A. Leo Lemay of Greenville, Winterthur Professor of English at UD, will serve as secretary; Susan Brynteson of Wilmington, UD director of libraries, will serve as assistant secretary/treasurer; and Gordon A. Pfeiffer of Wilmington, AS 56, who is retired from Mellon Bank, will serve at large.

Newly elected to the Board of Directors is Paul E. Ellis of Seaford, AS '53, who will serve until the year 2001.

Reelected to the Board for the 1991-2001 term are Frances Allmond of Wilmington, CHEP '53; Edward W. Cooch Jr. of Newark, AS '41; Catherine B. Flickinger of Wilmington, CHEP '40; Carolyn Greene of Chestertown, Md.; Marion Silliman of Greenville; Ada Leigh W. Soles of Newark; John A.H. Sweeney of Wilmington; '54M; and Daniel F. Wolcott Jr. of New Castle.

In other business, the board passed resolutions to honor Marvin B. Sussman of Newark, Unidel Professor Emeritus of Individual and Family Studies at UD, and Richard L. Sutton of Wimington, AS '57, as directors emeritis.
