New park on south Mall
Anew landscaped campus park now graces the south end of the Mall, in front of the entrance to Laurel Hall. Completed at the end of October, the park includes pavers (featuring an interlocking UD), benches, shrubbery and a map that provides information on the buildings that line the South Mall. According to Tom Taylor (left), facilities management and designer of the park, the site is a nice addition to the area and it mirrors the one located at the north end of the Mall, just off Main Street. Grounds personnel installed the plantings and UD carpenters provided the benches.
