Evening child care available

Campus Kids is an evening child-care program run by the Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council to meet the needs of parents who may be working late, taking classes at night or who have other evening commitments. The service is open to boys and girls, ages 3-13, from 3:30-10:30 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays; and 3:30-7:30 p.m., Fridays.

The service is offered on the UD campus at Chesapeake Bay Girls Scout Council headquarters, 501 South College Ave.

Campus Kids offers two programs: Campus Kids Monthly Care and Campus Kids Occasional Care. Monthly Care is available for families who have an ongoing, predictable need for evening school age child care. Campus Kids Occasional Care is for families who occasionally need evening care or whose needs cannot be scheduled well in advance, but space must be reserved at least 48 hours prior to care.

The hourly fee for Campus Kids is based on a sliding scale. By agreement with UD, a 10 percent discount off the base hourly rate is available to all University students, faculty and staff. Families with more than one child enrolled in Campus Kids are charged 50 percent of the base hourly fee for the second child and 25 percent of the base hourly fee for each additional child.

For registration forms and an information packet, contact the Campus Kids registrar at 456-7150, ext. 7173. For information, call the Office of Women's Affairs at 831-8063.
