Elizabeth A. Sonders, managing director of Avatar Associates, will speak at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, at the University as part of the Chaplin Tyler Executive Leadership Lecture Series. Sonders' free public talk on "Investing in a Post Perfection Environment" will be held in the Chaplin Tyler Atrium of MBNA America Hall.
Sonders, who graduated from UD with a degree in international relations, has been with this New York firm for more than 12 years and specializes in tactical asset allocation. She cochairs the company's stock selection committee, overseeing the energy, transportation, auto and retail/apparel industries, and is a member of the bond selection committee.
A frequent speaker at money management seminars, she has given numerous media interviews and is a regular panelist on Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser and appears regularly on CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg TV.
Sonders received her MBA in finance from Fordham University.
The lecture series is dedicated to Chap and Elizabeth Tyler of Hockessin and their commitment to education and their determination to help young people achieve success in the business world.
Tyler received UD's Medal of Distinction for professional achievement in 1992 and in 1993 was appointed a member of the College of Business and Economics Visiting Committee.
