Maryland residents and D-Day veterans Donnie Preston (left) of North East and Joe Lofthouse of Elkton shared some of their experiences as members of the D-Day invasion force during the campus' annual Veterans Day ceremony held Nov. 10.
Following the program, Air Force ROTC Cadet Arline Wilson, an English major from Bear, and Army ROTC Cadet Ryan Hoback, a business major from Bel Air, Md., began the annual 24-hour POW/MIA remembrance run through the campus.
During this event, cadets run in pairs, carrying the American and POW/MIA flags, as a tribute to men and women in the armed forces that are prisoners of war or missing in action.
