Weighing in Employees can prevent unwanted holiday weight gain by participating in the Wellness Center's "Weigh to Go" program. There are no meetings to attend-participants simply weigh-in privately the week before Thanksgiving and weigh-out after the end of the holiday break. Participants will receive three survival kits filled with recipes, stress management techniques and healthy gift ideas. This year, focus on preventing the average 7- to 10-pound weight gain instead of having to make a New Year's resolution to lose weight. The goal is to help employees maintain pre-holiday weight (within 3 pounds).
Those who succeed will be eligible for a drawing, and prizes include Taste of Brandywine books, a certificate from Boyd's Flowers and passes to the UD Ice Arena.
Cost is 10 Wellness Dollars. Call 831-8388 for more information about the weigh-in locations, and to register.
