B-ball bargain
Members of the campus community can buy tickets for only $1 each for two special, University Community Day basketball games-on Monday, Nov. 23, when the men's team will play Rider University at 7:30 p.m., and on Monday, Dec. 7, when the women's team will play Navy at 7 p.m.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased by an individual.

Library hours
Operating hours through Nov. 24 for the University Library and the Agriculture Library Collection (temporarily housed in Morris Library during Townsend Hall renovations) are 8 a.m.-midnight, Mondays-Thursdays; 8 a.m. -8 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturdays; and 11 a.m.-midnight, Sundays.

Special Collections and Exhibition Gallery hours are 9 a.m-5 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays through Fridays; and 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Tuesdays.

Handling holidays
A lunch series will explore strategies to make the holidays less stressful for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

The lunchtime sessions will be held from noon-1:30 p.m., Thursdays, Nov. 19 and Dec. 3 and 10, in Room 219 of the Trabant University Center. Linda Wills, Delaware Hospice Inc, will lead the sessions. To register, call 831-2414..

Used book sale
A used book sale-at $1 per book- will be held in the basement of the Newark United Methodist Church, 69 East Main St., as a fundraiser for the Wesley Foundation campus ministry.

The sale will take place from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12; from 9 a.m-5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13; and from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Nov. 14.

Housing info
To avoid a $100 late cancellation fee, students who reside on campus and will be away for the spring semester must cancel, in writing, before Dec. 18, their Academic Year Student Housing Agreement. Faculty or staff sponsoring study trips or who are otherwise aware of students who will be away from campus this spring are encouraged to have them file cancellation forms by the deadline.

Hall closings
Residence halls will close at 10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, except for those students with final examinations that evening. Students with final exams Friday evening must contact their hall directors or assistant area coordinators and request an exception to remain in their residence hall until 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 19.

Residence halls will reopen at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 3, for students enrolled in Winter Session.

Check requests
The cutoff dates for Requests for Check, Cash Advances and Business Expense Reports for check production during November are at noon, Wednesdays, Nov. 11 and 18, and Monday, Nov. 23. During December, the schedule is noon, Wednesdays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16, and Monday, Dec. 21.
