Known for their witty, tuneful, original material and their outrageous covers of classic songs, the members of the Bobs are four dynamic personalities who come together on stage to present a show that is part theatre, part comedy, part performance art but, most of all, a unique evening of music.
Members Richard Bob Green, Matthew Bob Stull, Lori Bob Rivera and Joe Bob Finetti are known as "a band without instruments," using just their voices and body percussion to fill the theatre with an orchestra of harmonious sound, accompanying themselves on songs that range from soulful to satire, from amazing to moving.
The group has been together since 1981 and has sold out venues around the world.
The ensemble has released eight albums, been nominated for a Grammy award, appeared on network television and scored movies. It has produced commercials, served as commentators on National Public Radio and built a legion of adoring fans.
Tickets for the Newark appearances are $15 for the general public, $10 for UD faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens and $6 for students and children. Tickets can be purchased in person at University box offices at Hartshorn Hall, Trabant University Center and the Bob Carpenter Center.
