Think again!

S tudents have been known to complain that there's nothing to do on campus. There's no way they can say that now!

This fall, several campus units increased programming to provide alternative, alcohol-free events for students. Activities of all types and appealing to many different interests have been presented by the Activities and Programs Office of the student centers, Greek affairs, the Center for Black Culture, residence life, career services, academic departments, the Bob Carpenter Center, the Performing Arts Series, intramural program and alumni affairs, among others--not to mention events sponsored by registered student groups.

At the same time, there are now a variety of ways to keep informed about what's going on around the campus.

Both UpDate, the campus community newspaper, and The Review, the student newspaper, regularly run calendars of upcoming events.

The special telephone number UD1-HENS offers a calendar of events each day, as well as information on future events across the campus. The number also links callers to departments and offices across the campus for additional information.

The campus cable system features "University Connection" on Channel 2. The channel, accessible in all residence halls and at several public sites across the campus, continuously provides events information 24 hours a day.
