Zany basketball activities are planned for kids on Oct. 25

Afun-filled afternoon is planned this Saturday, Oct. 25, when the University's Junior Series offers a screening of the popular film Space Jam and a chance for audience members to play ball with members of the UD Men's Basketball Team.

The zany Warner Brothers film will be shown at 1 p.m. in the Trabant University Center Movie Theatre, Main Street and South College Avenue, Newark. Audience members are then invited to the nearby Carpenter Sports Building to meet UD Head Coach Mike Brey, the UD mascot YoUDee and members of the basketball team. There will be a chance to play basketball and pose for photos.

Tickets are $5 for the general public, $4 for UD faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens and $1 for students and children. For tickets or more information, call 831-2204.

Tickets also can be purchased in person at the Hartshorn box office, Academy Street and East Park Place, the Trabant University Center box office or at the Bob Carpenter Center box office.
