Never-before-seen-on-national-television treasures from the state of Delaware will be introduced to 62 million U.S. cable households when QVC continues its series of 50 broadcasts for "The Quest for America's Best-QVC's 50 in 50 Tour" live from Delaware Stadium, from noon-3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28. The broadcast is open to the public and admission is free. However, admission is on a first-come, first-seated basis.
In case of rain, the program will be held in Mitchell Hall.
UD President David P. Roselle, the cheerleaders, the Blue Hen mascot YoUDee and the #D-Sharps# a cappella group will be guests at various spots in the program.
During the program, 20 native Delaware businesses and their merchandise will compete to be named "Best of Show," "First Runner-Up" and "Second Runner-Up," with selections based on total on-air sales and long-term sales potential on QVC.
Delaware is the 45th stop on the QVC Local's year-long 50-states-in-50-weeks tour.
The three-hour live special highlights American-made products produced by small businesses and entrepreneurs in the state of Delaware.
QVC host Bob Bowersox, AS'91, Lynne Tucker and Paul Kelley will be on hand to present the products and to interview the "homegrown" stars of the state that produced them.

By year's end, QVC will present 50 programs, each from a scenic location within the state. The shows will intersperse footage highlighting the unique personality of each state with product presentations.
