David Daniel of Lynchburg, Va., and Jenny Bennett of Chicago, students in the Professional Theatre Training Program, star as Oedipus and Jocasta in an upcoming production of Sophocles' Oedipus Rex.
The classic Greek tragedy will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Oct. 20-23, and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Hartshorn Hall. On Friday, Oct. 24, the cast will travel to Georgetown for two performances being held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the Parallel Program. To be performed in the theatre of the Arts and Science Center on the campus of Delaware Technical and Community College, a 1 p.m. performance is a special matinee for high school students and a 7 p.m. performance is open to the general public.
Both Georgetown performances include a chance to talk with the actors and director after the performances.
