In concert A "Brahms Celebration" with the Newark Symphony Orchestra will be held at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 26, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for senior citizens and $6 for students.Marking the 100th anniversary of Brahms' death, the program will feature the Tragic Overture, with Susan Peo on the trumpet; Three Songs, with soprano Tonia Tecce; and Symphony No. 3.

Fight the flu The Employee Wellness Center is offering flu vaccinations from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 29-30. The vaccines are being administered at the Student Health Center, and the fee is $10 cash or check.To schedule an appointment, employees should call the Employee Wellness Center at 831-8388 and leave a message indicating name, phone number and most convenient date and time to take the vaccine.
Participants will receive a confirmation after their initial call and a reminder the day before the appointment.
Costume sale Fantasy outfits, vintage clothes and a wild assortment of shirts, shoes, coats and hats, all used in past productions by the Professional Theatre Training Program at the University, will be on sale from noon to 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10.Just in time for Halloween, the sale will be held in Room 112 of Hartshorn Hall, located at the corner of Academy Street and East Park Place in Newark. Items are priced from as low as $1 to $20.
Only cash and checks will be accepted.
Awards/mini grants Guidelines/applications for International Travel Awards and International Mini-Grants for full-time faculty, professional staff and graduate students are available from departments or from International Programs and Special Sessions. They also can be accessed via mvs/ ezforms.International Travel Awards, for a maximum of $200, are accepted on a continuing basis and reviewed four times per fiscal year. The reviews are scheduled for Oct. 17, Dec. 19, March 13 and May 29.
International Mini-Grants up to $1,000 are reviewed two times per fiscal year on Nov. 14 and March 20. Limited funding is available for this program.
