Debate set on finance reform

The UD Legal Studies Program and Delaware State Bar Association will present "Campaign Finance Reform: A Debate," from 5-6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Room 209-211 of the Trabant University Center.

The general public is invited to observe two experienced lawyers discuss whether laws that regulate the sources, timing, amounts and reporting of political contributions should be maintained and improved.

Christopher A. Coons, from W.L. Gore & Associates, will argue the affirmative, and Joel Friedlander, from Bouchard & Friedlander, will present the negative viewpoint.

This debate is a part of the "Liberty and Law" series, which will include another debate later this fall on obscenity.
