Nancy Targett, associate dean of the College of Marine Studies, will address issues related to the environment and research in the College of Marine Studies.
This year's new officers include Vida Klemas, president, spouse of a member of the marine studies faculty; Jo Kmetz, vice president, part-time faculty member in communication; Elizabeth Olagunju, secretary, spouse of a member of the mathematical sciences faculty; and Laura Schmitt, treasurer, faculty member in physical therapy. .
According to Klemas, "The main goals of the University of Delaware Women's Club have been to welcome newcomers into the UD community by fostering social bonds and by raising money towards continuing education scholarships for women in need of assistance."
Over the years, the club has evolved to encompass all women associated with the University, whether they are employees, students or spouses of faculty or students.
