Farm Day Aug. 12

The 1998 UD Farm and Home Field Day will be held from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Research and Education Center in Georgetown. The annual event offers a variety of fun-filled and educational activities, plus tours, interactive exhibits and demonstrations.

Field tours by wagon will highlight agronomic and vegetable crops. Farmers can consult with extension specialists about research on weed and pest controls.

Sussex Master Gardeners and Cooperative Extension educators will provide information to home gardeners. Local 4-H clubs will set up a petting zoo and food booths.
