Tuition rates announced for 1998-99 academic year

The 1998-99 tuition for full-time undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Delaware has been raised by 3.2 percent for Delawareans and 4.3 percent for nonresidents-the lowest percentages of increase in more than a decade.

The new annual tuition rates are $4,250 for Delawareans, up $130 over last year, and $12,250 for nonresidents, up $500.

"The University of Delaware is one of the best education bargains in the nation-a fact recognized and noted nationally," University President David P. Roselle said.

"The University is committed to providing at a reasonable cost the highest possible quality of service to our students and their families," he said.

Full-time graduate tuition is the same as that for undergraduates, with the exception of those pursuing the master of business administration (MBA) degree. New, full-time regular MBA tuition is $5,360 for Delaware residents, an increase of 3.3 percent ($170), and $12,250 for nonresidents, an increase of 4.3 percent ($500).
