Lyme disease protection
Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania annually report high rates of Lyme disease. Signs and symptoms include fatigue, chills, fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, sometimes-but not always-accompanied by a skin rash resembling a bull's-eye.

The disease is treated with antibiotics but can lead to complications if ignored.

For additional information on minimizing one's risk to Lyme disease, check out the DOHS web site at http:// www.udle.edu/OHS

There also are two Lyme disease awareness training workshops scheduled from 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, and from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, both in Room 130 General Services Building.
