Named the Stuart P. Haskell Jr. Award, in honor of the former longtime America East Commissioner who retired last year, the recognition honors the program that has earned the most points based on a formula that takes into account each team's conference finish in the 21 sports sponsored by the league.
Delaware has won the award every year since joining the conference in 1991-92.
Blue Hen teams won conference titles in men's golf, men's basketball, men's swimming, women's lacrosse and baseball. UD was runner-up in softball and men's lacrosse. These standings gave the Hens 413 total points, well ahead of Boston University with 366.
Other teams and totals include Hofstra (330), Northeastern (292), Vermont (291), Towson (290), New Hampshire (274), Maine (251), Drexel (233) and Hartford (196).
