Junior John Cattermole (left) and senior Holly Mayer, students in a metals class taught by Ann Graham, art, have received recognition for their work from coast to coast.
Cattermole made a raised bowl with a spoon of copper and sterling silver, which was exhibited at the 1998 Society of North American Goldsmiths Student Exhibition at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery of the University of Washington in Seattle, where he also had a "Day of the Week Set" of brooches on display. Mayer is shown with "Hand Bag," a crocheted copper wire bag shaped like a hand, which won first place in the three-dimensional art category at the Dover Art League.
