Summertime by the UD pool

This beach towel is available for $10 with pool membership at the Outdoor Pool.

The cost for UD employees is $165 for a family membership (add $10 for each additional person over four) and $90 for an individual membership. The cost for community members is $190 for a family membership (add $10 for each additional person over four) and $100 for an individual member. For UD students registered in a summer session class, admission is free; for other UD students, admission is $3 per day.

Registration for employees and family members with UD ID cards is from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Fred Rust Ice Arena. Employees must show UD ID cards when they register for discounts, and the UD ID cards will then be adjusted to be used as pool membership cards.

For community members and UD family members without ID cards, photo IDs for pool admission will be made from 2-5 p.m., Thursday, May 21, and Friday, May 22, and from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, May 26-29, at the Fred Rust Ice Arena. After these dates, pool IDs will be made at the Student Services Building, 30 Lovett Ave.

Regular pool hours are

Mondays-Fridays, May 25-June 12, noon-6 p.m.;

Mondays-Fridays, June 15-Aug. 7, noon-8 p.m.;

Mondays-Fridays, Aug. 10-28, noon-7:30 p.m.;

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, May 23-Aug. 30, noon-7 p.m., except May 30 when the pool will be closed; and

Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5-7, noon-7 p.m.
