Blood drive Every three seconds someone in this country needs blood, and each day 250 pints of blood are needed on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore will hold a blood drive at the University from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, in the Rodney Room of the Perkins Student Center.

French camp The Alliance Francaise de Wilmington is sponsoring a summer camp for children ages 6-13. Children will engage in hands-on activities and learn simple phrases that will have them speaking French.

Camps are scheduled from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., June 30-July 3 and July 6-10, at the Newark Center for Creative Learning, 401 Phillips Ave.

Classes are limited to 10 students. Cost is $125 for members and $135 for nonmembers. A $25 deposit is due at the time of registration and the deadline is June 15. For more information, call 475-7348.
