Honors Day programs to take place on May 8

Honors Day ceremonies will begin at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 8, with each college holding its own program.

Following the college ceremonies, President and Mrs. David P. Roselle will host a reception from 4-5:30 p.m. at the President's House, 47 Kent Way, for members of honor societies, award recipients, their families and sponsors, administrators, academic deans and department chairpersons. In the event of rain, the reception will be held in the Perkins Student Center Gallery.

The locations of the college and department ceremonies are

Agriculture and Natural Resources-Mitchell Hall;

Arts and Science-Multipurpose Room, Trabant University Center;

Business and Economics-Room 115, Purnell Hall;

Engineering-Pearson Hall auditorium;

Health and Nursing Sciences- Room 130, Smith Hall;

Human Resources, Education and Public Policy-Clayton Hall,

Urban affairs and Public Policy-Room 125,

Marine Studies-Room 104 Cannon Laboratory.

The Division of Continuing Education will hold a ceremony at 5 p.m., in Room 128, Clayton Hall.

The Institute of Energy Conversion (IEC) also will host an awards ceremony at 11:15 a.m. in Room 115 of the IEC building.
