A portrait of the late Tom Vacha, former assistant vice president of facilities managment who died in July, was unveiled Sept. 11 in the General Services Building. The portrait was painted by Ben Kniffin, who works in the UD Lockshop. After seeing a painting Kniffin did of the Tyson-Holyfield fight, several coworkers suggested he paint a portrait of Mr. Vacha.
Working from a photograph, Kniffin completed the watercolor painting, and an area was selected for its display in the first floor conference room of the General Services Building.
