on Newark and Wilmington campuses

The March of Dimes' annual WalkAmerica will be held this weekend on both the Newark and Wilmington campuses.

The Wilmington event will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 25, at the Pennsylvania Avenue campus area.

The Newark event will begin at 9 a.m., Sunday, April 26, near Delaware Field House.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at both sites.

In addition, there are several other area sites throughout the state conducting walks to benefit the March of Dimes, with the final state event scheduled to take place at noon, Sunday, May 3, at Grove Park in Rehoboth.

At the Newark event, the first 100 people who arrive at the UD registration desk on the day of the walk, and who have a minimum of $25 in pledges, will receive a free T-shirt.

Brochures with registration information are available at the Trabant and Perkins student centers, student fitness centers, Employee Fitness Center and Employee Wellness Center.
