Approximately 150 persons attended the "History and Holocaust" panel discussion, held March 17 in the Trabant University Center Theatre. The panelists focused on Hitler's death camps and the need to inform the general public of the tragic events that occurred there. Speakers included Philadelphia Inquirer journalist David Preston (left) and his father, George Preston. George is an Auschwitz survivor; David is writing a book about his late mother, who also was a concentration camp survivor.
Raymond Callahan, arts and science and chairperson of the Holocaust Education Task Force, said, "I feel that the panel was a very fine opportunity for people to hear about the Holocaust from someone who lived through it, as well as from persons who continue to deal with the Holocaust as historians and journalists. They brought valuable perspectives on this subject to the campus."
