'Uppity Blues' tomorrow night

Tickets are still available for Saffire, the Uppity Blues Women, who will bring their rich honky-tonk melodies to the Mitchell Hall stage at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 20. Erin McKeown opens for the group with her original blend of folk, funk, blues and jazz. Saffire's debut album in 1990 became one of the Alligator label's best-selling releases. Other albums include Hot Flash, Broadcasting, Old, New, Borrowed & Blue and the group's latest release, Cleaning House.

Tickets, available at University box offices, are $8 for the general public and $5 for UD faculty, staff, alumni, senior citizens and students.
