Soloists, orchestra to play at
15th annual concerto concert

Five winners will perform at the 15th annual University of Delaware Student Concerto Winners Concert, to be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 22, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. Admission is free.

The soloists will perform with a symphony orchestra composed of players from major regional orchestras and conducted by Robert J. Streckfuss, music.

The five winning students were selected in a December competition judged by a panel of regional musicians.

Christine Kavanagh, soprano, will sing "Dove sono" by Mozart, "Praise the Lord" by Handel and "Vissi Darte" by Puccini.

Tenor Andrew Meyer will sing "Quanto e bella" from Donizetti's Lelisir damore, "L'invitation au voyage" by Duparc and "No Unhallowed Desire" from Handel's Judas Maccabeus.

Percussionist Jonathan Whitney will play Milhaud's Concerto pour Batterie et petit orchestre.

Soprano Amy Turman will sing "Adele's Laughing Song" from Strauss' Die Fledermaus.

Jaeho Choi, tenor, will perform "Zueignung" by Strauss and "Dies Bildnis ist bezubernd schn" from Mozart's Die Zauberflte.
