Stephen M. Salsbury, former member of the UD faculty and chairperson of the Department of History, died March 1 in Sydney, Australia. He had suffered for some time from lung cancer. Dr. Salsbury, 66, served on the UD faculty from 1963-1977 and was chairperson of the Department of History from 1975-1977. He left Delaware to become chairperson of the economic history department at the University of Sydney, and he later was named dean of the faculty there.
An informal remembrance gathering will be held from noon-1 p.m., Friday, March 20, in the conference room, Room 203, of John Munroe Hall.
