Wind Ensemble Camp

- Description: The daily schedule will include musicianship classes, sectionals, master class and two large group rehearsals, conducted by Robert Streckfuss, UD. David Blackinton, Brigham Young University, will coach trumpet sectionals, offer master classes to brass players and share conducting duties with Streckfuss. The week-long program concludes with a concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 10, in Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building. The camp is open to students from grades 9-12, as well as college-age musicians.

Middle School Band Camp

Keyboard for Kids

- Description: Singing and moving to nurture tonal and rhythmic development of the child; and introduction to the recorder to explore the breath control and fine motor control necessary for instrumental study; and an hour each day spent at the pianos, exploring the basics of melodic patterns, chords and music notation. Blue Hen Overnight Field Hockey Shooting Camp

Junior Tennis Camp

The 1998 Delaware Aerospace Academy

- Description: A challenging and exciting program for students entering grades 3-10. Learn about rocketry, living in space, composite materials, compute-simulations, aerospace physics, planetary studies, space architecture, astronomy, team building, cooperative learning and leadership skills.

Technology In Early Childhood (TECH) Camp

- Description: TECH is designed to help children ages 4-11 become independent computer users in a world of technology. Using both IBM-compatible and Macintosh computers, students will use only the best software available. There are four individual camps, each lasting one week. Discounts are offered for siblings, and a limited number of scholarships are available.

Summer Reading Program

- Description: The Reading Study Center provides an intensive literacy program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The class supports students in the classroom experiencing difficulty with reading (work decoding and comprehension) spelling and writing. The program also is beneficial for students concerned about keeping up their skills over the summer months. The computer lab supplements classroom instruction. One-on-one tutoring also is provided at the center.
Summer College
- Location: Newark campus
- Dates/Times: June 20-July 25
- Cost: Tuition: $1,300, in state; $2,850, out-of-state. Application fee, $15

First Aid and Health Kamp for Kids
