The Special Collections Department of the University of Delaware Library has developed a series of virtual exhibitions on the Internet which mirrors its exhibition program in the Special Collections Exhibition Gallery.
Through access to the global audience of the World Wide Web, Special Collections has expanded the number of viewers of its exhibitions and greatly increased awareness of the books and manuscripts held in Special Collections in the Morris Library.
Among the recent exhibitions available on the World Wide Web are: "The World of the Child: Two Hundred Years of Children's Books;" "Self Works: Diaries, Scrapbooks and Other Autobiographical Efforts;" and "Color Printing in the 19th Century." The electronic exhibitions can be found via the Library web page or directly at: http://www.lib.udel.edu/ ud/spec/exhibits.html/ which lists each of the exhibitions available.
