Mircea Dan Geoana, Romanian ambassador to the United States, visited the campus Feb. 18 and gave a talk on issues related to Romania, and European and transatlantic security, which was followed by a reception in the Blue and Gold Club with faculty members and a number of Romanian students.
The ambassador also met with President David P. Roselle and attended a luncheon that included Lawrence Donnelley, international programs; Joseph Pika and Yaroslav Bilinsky, both political science and international relations; and Ron Gardner, mayor of Newark.
The visit was cosponsored by the Office of International Programs and Special Sessions and the Department of Political Science and International Relations.
