Speakers will present topics that range from emerging telecommunications issues to health care change. Meetings will be held from 7:30-9 a.m. at Arsht Hall on the UD Wilmington Campus, 2700 Pennsylvania Ave. An American-style breakfast is served followed by an informative discussion.
The series opens on Thursday, Oct. 2, when Ted T. Cecala, chairman and CEO of Wilmington Trust Corp., will speak on "Wilmington Trust and the Challenges of the Financial Services Industry."
On Thursday, Nov. 6, Joshua W. Martin III, president and CEO of Bell Atlantic-Delaware, will discuss "Emerging Telecommunications Issues."
"Global Entrepreneurship" is the topic of William Jensen, executive director of Rodel Inc., who will speak on Thursday, Dec. 4.
The series resumes on Thursday, Feb. 12, when Robert Shrouds, corporate economist for the DuPont Co., will speak on "The U.S. Economic Outlook."
U.S. Rep. Michael N. Castle will address the group on Thursday, March 12, speaking on "Federal Fiscal Policy-Finally on the Right Track."
Mark Meister, executive director of the Medical Society of Delaware, concludes the series on Thursday, April 2, with a talk entitled, "Is Your Physician At the Helm or Adrift in a Sea of Health Care Change?"
Cost is $25 per breakfast for the general public and $21 per person for members of the College of Business and Economics Alumni Association. The entire series of six breakfasts costs $125, and there is a new corporate rate for companies and organizations that wish to register six individuals for the entire series.
