Mike Brey (left), UD men's head basketball coach, and Jim Hayes, Suburban Cable Channel 2 sports director, have been nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for their work on The Mike Brey Show. The program, aired in New Castle County on the Suburban Cable TV system, features videotape highlights of Blue Hen men's basketball games. Brey provides information on the games, player profiles and instructional information. The program also features a segment with Tina Martin, the Blue Hen women's coach, discussing her team. The show is produced and hosted by Hayes, who works closely with Brey. The regional Emmy winners will be announced in Philadelphia on Oct. 4.
