Nominations sought for Blue Hen Ambassadors

The Blue Hen Ambassadors, a group of undergraduate students who assist the Office of Admissions with student recruitment efforts, is looking for new members. While conducting campus tours and participating in other recruitment activities, Blue Hen Ambassadors gain confidence, valuable experience and interpersonal skills.

According to Robert Synder, admissions counselor and coordinator of the program, all undergraduate students not graduating before May 1999 are eligible to apply to become a Blue Hen Ambassador.

UD faculty and staff members are invited to nominate undergraduate students. Nominations should include the student's name and campus/local address (if known) and should be sent via e-mail to rsnyder@udel.edu or via campus mail to Robert Snyder, Office of Admissions.

Nominees will receive an application and a letter that invites them to apply for the program.

Representatives of the Blue Hen Ambassadors will be at the Trabant University Center Kiosk C from 11 a.m.-1 p.m, Monday-Wednesday, Feb. 16-18. There also will be an information session at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Room 209, Trabant University Center.

Applications are available at the Visitors' Center (196 South College Ave.) or the Office of Admissions (116 Hullihen Hall). Completed applications are due to the Visitors' Center no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27.
