Student's Chinese art on display

When Ying Shi, who is enrolled in the master of business administration program, made the long journey from Beijing to UD, he brought with him his collection of Chinese art.

These works are now on exhibition in the lobby of the Christiana Commons until Dec. 19 for the campus community to enjoy.

Shi, who is a hall director at Christiana Towers, said that the art show of 17 Chinese paintings, which is sponsored by the Resident Students Association with the support of the Office of Residence Life, is a means of improving communication and understanding between the young people of the two nations and cultures.

Shi, a graduate of the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, came to UD in June 1996 and is scheduled to receive his MBA in May.
