UD blood drive a great success
Sigma Chi fraternity and Alpha Chi Omega sorority held a "competitive" blood drive Nov. 18 and 19 for the Blood Bank of Delaware. It was one of the most successful drives held on the UD campus, according to sophomore Richard Gilpin, who coordinated the event with senior Meg Posnaski.
Approximately 140 persons donated blood, and 44 percent were from Greek organizations.
Competitive divisions included fraternities, sororities and other campus organizations, with Sigma Chi, Alpha Chi and the Army ROTC leading in their categories.
