The University Library participates in the Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program, which provides faculty of participating institutions the opportunity to have borrowing privileges and on-site access to the collections of some of the most important research libraries in North America. More than 180 institutions are participants.
The purpose of the program is to promote and facilitate scholarly research and communication among faculty of the member institutions. The Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program is sponsored by the University of Delaware Library, along with the other members of the Association of Research Libraries, which are connected online to the Online Computer Library Center in Dublin, Ohio.
Materials may be used on the premises of the owning library or they may be borrowed, depending upon the policies of the member lending library.
Any faculty member who is interested in the brochure about the program, or a card, should contact the Univeristy of Delaware Library, Office of the Director, Room 210 Morris Library. This can be done via e-mail at ReciprocalBorrowing@ mvs.udel.edu or by calling 831-2231.
Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Cards-only available to full-time, continuing UD faculty members-are issued for a one-year period and are not transferable.
