     Martha Carothers, art, was elected treasurer of the National
Council of Art Administrators at the council's annual conference,
Oct. 3-5.

     Marian Lief Palley, political science and international
relations, was elected to the executive committee, federalism and
intergovernmental relations section, American Political Science
Association.
