A&S faculty comments requested

     The College of Arts and Science Senate Committee is holding
a series of public hearings to gather input from the academic
community regarding the Report of the General Education Review
Committee.
     This report has been circulated to all department
chairpersons, asking that they distribute and discuss the report
among their faculty.
     To provide an opportunity for faculty to offer comments,
three public hearings have been scheduled:
       1-2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Room 205 Brown Laboratory,
       3:30-4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, in Room 006 Kirkbride
  Lecture Hall and
       3-4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, in Room 205 Kirkbride Lecture
  Hall.
     Faculty who are unable to attend the meetings, or who wish
to submit written responses, should contact Alan Fox, philosophy
and chairperson of the Educational Affairs Committee, at 831-8077
