Economy is topic of election debate
As Election Day approaches, and the campaign heats up and
debates between presidential and vice presidential candidates are
headline news, the University is having its own presidential
debate on the "Economic Policies of the Presidential Candidates."
The debate among economics faculty members will take place
from 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Room 115 Purnell Hall.
Debating for Robert Dole are Burt Abrams, Michael Arnold and
Will Harris.
Lining up for President Bill Clinton are Saul Hoffman, Larry
Seidman and Toni Whited.
The moderator is student Emily Lehman of the Student
Economic Association, which is sponsoring the event with the
Department of Economics.
The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be
served.
