Economic outlook conference set

     The seventh annual Delaware Economic Outlook Conference will
be held from 7:15 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the DuPont
Country Club, Wilmington.
     Sponsored by the College of Business and Economics' Delaware
Small Business Development Center, the event includes a keynote
address by David Voight, director of small business for the U.S.
Chamber of Commerce.
     Early morning sessions include "Outlook for the Nation" by
David Carrier, econometician, National Economic Research and Data
Services; "Outlook for the Region and Delaware" by Stephen
Cochrane, director of regional forecasting, Regional Forecasting
Associates; and "Demographics in Delaware" by Ed Ratledge,
director, UD Center for Applied Demography and Survey Research.
     Other sessions include "The Outlook and Impact of Banking"
by Tim McTaggaart, bank commissioner for the state of Delaware,
and "The Outlook and Impact of Telecommunications" by Gil Smith,
vice president of external affairs for Bell Atlantic Delaware.
     Cost of the conference is $85 and includes registration fee,
materials, continental breakfast and a buffet lunch. For more
