United Way

     Dear Colleagues:
     The 1996 University of Delaware's United Way Campaign will
be conducted from Oct. 1-23.  This year, the University's goal is
$160,000; the overall campaign goal for the United Way of
Delaware is $20 million.
     Your pledge, in the form of a payroll deduction, will
provide needed community services on a year- round basis. By
using the United Way's expanded designation options, you can
direct your gift to community care, targeted care, specific care,
neighboring United Ways and eligible non-member, nonprofit
organizations.
     For additional information about the campaign, contact the
United Way solicitor in your unit or the Office of Employee
Services, telephone 831-6651.
     Please give generously to the United Way.  Your contribution
will help to continue the tradition of people helping people and
enhance the quality of life in our community.
