UD equestrians recognized

Nationwide: University of Delaware Equestrian Team Becoming
Top Intercollegiate Power" was the headline in a recent issue of
Mid-Atlantic Horse Events.
Delaware tied for the second-place ranking in zone
competition and was ranked 10th nationally, the team's second
year in the top 10, according to the article.
When schools compete in equestrian events, points are given
for each student who wins or places in classes, and then team
points are totaled.
Team riders must do well to qualify for regional shows to
progress to zone shows. Of the 45 members of the UD equestrian
team, 14 qualified at the higher level.
The team coach is Bryan Bradley of Newark, who provides
lessons, arena time and boards students' horses at his stable
near Newark.
