New faces on the force

     New UD Public Safety officers, including two new community
police officers, are shown with Maxine Colm, vice president for
administration, at a swearing-in ceremony Sept. 13.
     Albert Kaczorowski (left) is a retired officer from the
Wilmington Police Department where he served for 21 years. He was
sworn into the UD Department of Public Safety on Aug. 12.
     Price Fanning, Delaware '90, was certified as a police
officer in December 1990 after graduating from the Delaware State
Police Training Academy. He has worked for the Parks and
Recreation Division of the state's Department of Natural
Resources and Environmental Control.
     Debra Phillips was certified as police officer in 1985,
serving for 11 years with the Wilmington Police Department.
     Fanning and Phillips filled positions funded by a federal
grant to support community-oriented policing programs in campus
law enforcement.
